We are delighted to report that BBC 6 Music was declared saved today thanks to public outcry at the planned closure of the station.

Jarvis Cocker had the following to say:

It's great that everyone's finally agreed with all the arguments to keep it on air. The BBC should be proud of 6 Music - it provides something that can't be found anywhere else on the radio.

We couldn't agree more. Bravo to the BBC for keeping the station alive, and well done to everyone who rallied!
