Get your church groove on
Head down to the Union Chapel tonight for some keyboard loving Au Revoir Simone.
With a slightly creepy atmosphere and some of the best venue acoustics in the city, the band's take on synth alt-folk should sound right at home.
Made principally using keyboards, drum machines and hand percussion, Au Revoir Simone's sound is defined by their instrumentation. In their own words, and to put it simply, they make "warm and organic electronic music with forthright female vocalists".
They are touring to promote release of latest album Still Night, Still Night. First impressions are encouraging - layered synths, ethereal, heart felt and heart-rendering vocals, dreamy melodies, and palpitating drum machine-induced disco beat.
Sounds perfect for an autumnal evening in a house of worship don't you think?
