Secret DJ was listening to Jarvis Cocker's brilliant BBC6 Sunday Service podcast a few days ago.

It was, as per, a brilliant 2 hours of musical discussion and playing, but this week we were especially taken with the exert from Greg Milner's book Perfecting Sound Forever - The Story of Recorded Music

The combination of Cocker's entrancing voice and Milner's engaging, passionate and thoroughly interesting writing made for a captivating 10 mins. There are still 2 days left to listen, which we strongly advise or you'll really be missing a treat.

We'll be reading it... although we secretly wish Jarvis would put out the audio book.
